Some of the Least Known Florida Attractions near Orlando

When you think of Orlando Florida as a holiday destination, the first thing that comes to mind is the Disney World. The next couple of attractions on the list are Universal and SeaWorld. But there are so many other Florida Attractions Near Orlando that you have probably not even heard of.

So if you aren't interested in any of the above mentioned attractions or have already visited them and still have some time to kill in Orlando, here are five other attractions which you will enjoy. What's more, these attractions aren't as popular as the big three which means you will not have to worry about crowd there:

Worldgate Vacations

Gatorland
Even though SeaWorld is the main marine life related attraction in Orlando, there is a something available for freshwater fans too. Gatorland is a must see for anyone who wants to get up close with some of these toothy reptiles. The theme park was opened in 1949 and is home to thousands of crocodiles and alligators. It also has a breeding marsh, wrestling shows, and educational facilities. It's a complete theme park.

The Holy Land Experience
If you want to visit a theme park which makes a difference, visit the Holy Land Experience. This theme park and museum is going to immerse you into the biblical times of the past. You will get to walk on ancient streets and witness live re-enactment of some very important moments from the bible. This may seem like a huge cash-in on Christianity but for believers and even those non-believers, it's a unique, educational and enjoyable experience. Pascal’s Wager, just think about it!

Bok Tower Gardens
If you're looking for a natural experience then the Bok Tower Gardens near Lake Wales is one place you should visit. It has a historic tower and botanical garden. The garden has been named after the founder Edward Bok who started it in 1921 in the form of a bird sanctuary. There are hundreds of different species of birds that still live here as well as an assortment of wildlife. And then there's the Singing Tower which is built of marble and has carillon bells that ring daily.

SAK Comedy Lab
If you're a fan of comedy then you must absolutely visit this comedy club which is famous for its improv and theatre. Different shows are held throughout the year although it is the Dual of Fools which you can't afford to miss. It's their longest running attraction and for good reason too. There's also an improv game show and a parody of Broadway called Fourplay: The Improvised Musical.

Medieval Times
This truly is an American tourist attraction. It features a re-enactment of medieval times. It's a dinner theatre where you will be able to enjoy a royal feast surrounded by jousting and sword fighting. You'll be seated in one corner of a medieval castle and root for a knight while enjoying your dinner.

Who thought there was no more to Orlando than Disney World? Perhaps you should reschedule your vacation to include some of the above attractions as well? You will have some unique experiences to talk about when you get back home for sure.
